Yonge & Dundas can be arguably listed as one of Toronto's major landmarks - Canada's own Times Square. In 2018, Shoppers Drug Mart made this location their home for their new flagship location when they acquired the building that housed the historic Hard Rock Cafe. Prior to the launch, I was responsible for the optimization as well as the construction of the digital screen content for this store, which included many custom LED installs. We worked closely with the Shopper's team to build out social CTA's, visual eye candy and campaign and promo messaging that could be viewed both inside and outside of the store.
When the store launched in the summer of 2018, I took a visit, and I was blown away by the result. Being an avid music fan who spends his free time playing in many of Toronto's underground venues, I took a particular liking to the Friar's Music Museum located on the second floor - which features instruments and other musical artifacts, and touch display displaying a historic timeline of the many music icons who performed on Yonge St. stages.
